Born in Bellflower, California, in 1967, Trevor Hoffman was taken during the eleventh round of the 1989 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds. He made his MLB debut on April 6, 1993 for the Florida Marlins after he was scooped up in the first round of the 1992 MLB Expansion Draft. He was traded during the middle of the season to the San Diego Padres, where he pitched from 1993 until 2008. He finished his career with the Milwaukee Brewers from 2009 until 2010. Hoffman pitched in 1,035 career games with a 61-75 win-loss record, 2.87 earned run average, 1,133 strikeouts, and 601 saves.
